The College Application Process For Brashier Seniors of 2015-16 Step 1: Decide to which colleges you will apply.
Step 2: Apply online (preferred by most colleges) or by using a paper application.
Counselor Forms can be downloaded on the college’s website or by calling and requesting that one be sent to you.
In most cases, a credit card is needed to apply online and a check or money order is required to apply using the paper application. If you have used a fee waiver to take the SAT or ACT, you are eligible for up to four college application fee waivers.
Step 3: Locate the high school recommendation form if required.
Look for this when applying online or in the paper application packet. Many schools can also email the form directly to Mrs. BEnnett.
If a counselor letter of recommendation is needed please bring a resume listing your involvements in school and the community. Plan to set up a time when you can meet for at least 10 minutes with Mrs. Bennett.
Step 4: Fill out the transcript request form with Mrs. Bennett. At least five school days notice are required for transcript requests. (Ten school days are required for letter of recommendations.)
Bring any other materials you would like included in the envelope at this time (college application fee waivers, teacher recommendations, etc.)
If you haven’t already, request that official test scores be sent from College Board/ACT directly to your college.
Step 5: Return to guidance to pick up your materials. There will be a $1.00 charge for each transcript after the first three.
